My name is Emma and I am, what my sister aptly termed, a Lady Sciencer. I have a post-doctoral research fellowship in Pisa where my research interests are in astrophysics, specifically supernovae.
This blog is not about my work though. In my free time I love to knit and although I tend to geek out at a moment's notice, I want to keep a blog focussed on my knitting. Admittedly, knitting and geekiness do cross over, but more on that another day.
The name of this blog, by the way, is Italian for "My Knitting". Maglia means "loop" and "fare la maglia" or "to make the loop" is the Italian for knitting.
